"The track is an experimental and anthemic effort, with Owoso’s distinct sound delightfully complementing the song’s title. It begins with soft acoustic guitar and hypnotic vocals from lead singer Dustin Ketterman, lulling the listener into a false sense of security before the chorus explodes into life.

The song then evolves as it progresses, with additional vocals from Jon Driver and Ethan Evans adding another layer of complexity to the second verse. ‘Be Yourself’ then goes straight into fifth gear as it spirals into something utterly perplexing yet also remarkably listenable. The electronic guitar which invades the final chorus is something entirely opposite to the acoustic opening, yet bizarrely it works perfectly and brings a smile to your face.

‘Be Yourself’ is a surprising, commanding and defiant track with powerful lead vocals and a wonderful electronic climax which will have you subconsciously nodding along. It’s a song which gets under your skin and feels entirely unique, going to places which you simply don’t expect after the first verse."
